This year’s SSC MTS recruitment includes 1075 vacancies, which will be divided across the Multi-Tasking Staff and Havaldar roles in various ministries, departments, and regional offices of the central government. The MTS posts include: Peon, Safaiwala, Mali, Watchman, Junior Operator and similar Group C support roles.

Selection Process for SSC MTS 2025

• Computer-Based Examination (CBT – Two Sessions): 

• • • This exam is held in two separate sessions on the same day. 
    • In Session-I, candidates will attempt simple questions based on Reasoning and Numerical Ability. 
    • In Session-II, candidates will face questions based on English comprehension and general awareness, and the marks obtained in this section will decide your position in the merit list.

• Physical Tests for Havaldar Posts Only (PET/PST):

• • • Applicants applying for Havaldar posts will also have to go through a physical efficiency test as part of the selection.
    • These tests include a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and a Physical Standard Test (PST). 
    • In the efficiency test, male candidates must complete a 1600-meter walk in 15 minutes, while females must cover 1 kilometer in 20 minutes. 
    • For the standard test, specific height and chest measurements are required based on the candidate’s category. 

• Document Verification (Final Step):

• • Document verification will be the final step in the SSC MTS 2025 recruitment process.
  • Once the exam and physical tests (if applicable) are cleared, shortlisted candidates are called to submit their original certificates, including educational proof, identity documents, and category certificates (if applicable). 

Exam Pattern for SSC MTS Recruitment 2025
