Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the selection process for Technician recruitment of 2024, consisting of three main stages: Computer Based Test (CBT), Document Verification (DV), and Medical Examination. In this year total 14,298 vacancies available. Understanding the details of each stage is essential for effective preparation and improving the chances of selection. Overview of the Selection Process:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): This initial stage evaluates candidates’ knowledge and skills through a standardized exam format.

- Negative Marking: 1/3 of the marks allotted for each question will be deducted for incorrect answers.
- Cut Off Marks: Candidates must achieve the RRB Technician cut-off marks and meet the minimum qualifying criteria in the CBT to progress to the next stages.
RRB Technician Document Verification (DV)
Candidates who successfully clear the CBT will proceed to the Document Verification stage. During this stage, candidates must present original documents to validate their claims made in the application. The required documents include:
- Proof of Date of Birth: Matriculation/Secondary School Leaving Certificate/SSC/X Standard Marks Card.
- Educational Qualification Certificates: Mark sheets for all years/semesters.
- Experience/Service Certificate: If applicable, detailing post held, service period, gross emoluments, etc.
- Caste/Category Certificate: For SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates, issued by a competent authority.
- Disability Certificate: If applicable, for PwBD candidates.
- Discharge Certificate & Ex-Servicemen ID Card: For Ex-servicemen.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC): For candidates employed with Government or Public Sector undertakings.
Medical Examination Standards for RRB Technician Selection
Medical Examination is an important stage in the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Technician Selection Process.
