What Is CBAT in RRB ALP?

The Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)—also known as the Psycho Aptitude Test—is the third and decisive phase in the RRB ALP selection journey. CBAT dives into your psychometric and cognitive abilities. It evaluates your suitability for the Assistant Loco Pilot role by measuring essential skills like memory, attention to detail, spatial understanding, reaction accuracy, and perceptual speed. CBAT features five psychometric sub-tests, each with time limits and unique designs:

• Memory Test: Examinees study visual maps or picture-number pairs in limited time, then recall details accurately under test conditions 
• Directions Test; Candidates read spatial or directional instructions and identify correct responses from letter or pattern sequences 
• Depth Perception Test: Visual scenarios—like brick stacks—are used to evaluate candidate’s judgment of distances and overlaps 
• Concentration Test: Candidates compare sets of numbers rapidly and decide match or mismatch, training focus for high-stakes environments 
• Perceptual Speed Test: Designed to test how quickly candidates recognize similar shapes among options under time pressure 

Note: 

• It serves as a qualifying assessment, with candidates needing at least 42 marks in each of the separate test segments to progress 
• The final merit list is then created by combining 70% scores from CBT 2 Part A and 30% from CBAT.

Admit Card and City Intimation Slip for RRB ALP CBAT 2025

• City Slip (Exam Location Details)

• • • RRB will release the City Intimation Slip for ALP CBAT 2025 on 5 July, which is exactly ten days before the exam. This document confirms your test location and shift timings. It helps you arrange travel and stay plans ahead of time.

• Admit Card (Entry Pass for Exam)

• • Your official CBAT admit card becomes available on 11 July. For Admit Card, logged into the official portal, go to the section where the admit card is available for download.

• Step 1: Go to the official RRB website.
• Step 2: On the homepage or under the “Recruitment” or “Latest Updates” section, locate the link labeled either “RRB ALP CBAT City Slip 2025” or “RRB ALP Admit Card 2025”. Click the appropriate link.
• Step 3: Into the login page, input your Registration Number and Date of Birth or Password exactly as used during your initial application. 
• Step 4 (City Slip): The City Slip, which shows your assigned exam city, will be available at least 10 days before the test. Review the location and make arrangements for travel accordingly. Simply download and print it.
