The final result for SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Examination 2024 was officially published on 11 July 2025. This announcement marks the culmination of a multi-stage selection process that began with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) result, declared on 5 March 2025, which qualified 9,345 candidates for Grade C and total 26,610 candidates for Grade D stenography skill tests. Subsequently, 6,728 candidates took the Grade C skill test, while 18,646 appeared for the Grade D. In the subsequent phase, from 27 June to 1 July 2025, the Commission invited candidates to submit their post and department preferences through an online option-cum-preference form. Based on performance and candidate preferences, the Commission provisionally shortlisted 215 candidates for Grade C and 1,908 for Grade D, assigning them to various Ministries and departments. The commission applied tie-breaking rules based on marks in Part-I and Part-II, followed by date of birth and alphabetical order. Additionally, the Commission listed canceled and debarred candidates whose candidature was not processed. Shortlisted candidates must now proceed to Document Verification (DV) conducted by respective ministries/offices. After DV and medical checks, the Commission will allocate final appointments. The selection remains provisional and contingent on DV outcomes.
