- Organisation: The World Boxing Championships was officially organized by World Boxing Organisation. This was the first edition of this Championship for men’s and women’s categories.

- Jaismine Lamboria was born on August 30, 2001, in Haryana. She drew inspiration from her great-grandfather Hawa Singh, who was a boxing legend who won consecutive Asian Games golds in 1966 and 1970. She won a Gold medal at the inaugural World Boxing Championships 2025 in Liverpool, where she became the first Indian to win a gold medal in the event after defeating Poland’s Szermeta Julia 4-1.

- Minakshi Hooda was born in 2001 in the village of Rurki, Rohtak, Haryana. Her father worked as an auto-rickshaw driver. She joined a local boxing academy under the guidance of Vijay Hooda at the age of twelve. She won a Gold medal at the World Boxing Championships 2025 in Liverpool in the 48kg division after defeating Olympic medallist Nazym Kyzaibay of Kazakhstan.

- Nupur Sheoran was born on September 26, 1998, in Umerwas, Haryana. She has emerged as a powerful name in the heavyweight category of Indian women’s boxing. She is the granddaughter of legendary Indian boxer Hawa Singh. She became a five-time national champion. She won a Silver medal at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool in the +80kg category, after a close 2-3 defeat against Poland’s Agata Kaczmarska.

- Pooja Rani Bohra was born on February 17, 1991, in Nimriwali village, Bhiwani district, Haryana. She joined the Hawa Singh Boxing Academy despite her family’s initial opposition. She serves as an Income Tax inspector under the Haryana government. She won a Bronze medal at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool in the 80kg division after losing in the semifinals to Emily Asquith of England by a 4:1 split decision.
