- Aviation Infrastructure: The number of operational airports rose from 9 in 2014 to 17 airports, backed by the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme.
- The Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (Guwahati) is undergoing a massive terminal upgrade designed to function as a green, state-of-the-art hub.
- Strategically vital greenfield airports including Pakyong (Sikkim) and Donyi Polo (Itanagar) are being built or expanded to drastically reduce travel times and improve logistics in rugged, previously inaccessible terrains.
- Maritime Waterways: The Eastern Waterways Connectivity Transport Grid develops 5,000 km of navigable water routes.
- It relies on National Waterway-2 (Brahmaputra) and NW-16 (Barak) to cut multi-modal shipping costs through Bangladesh.
- Hydropower & Energy: It is positioned as India’s transition powerhouse.
- Major developments include the Dibang Multi-Purpose (2880 MW) and Subansiri Lower (2000 MW) plants.
- Kamala Hydroelectric Project (1720 MW), approved recently, this massive joint venture between NHPC and the Arunachal Pradesh government is being built across three districts, producing nearly 6,870 million units of electricity annually.
- Etalin Hydroelectric Project (3097 MW), proposed as another mega-project in the Dibang Valley, it is one of the largest upcoming private/public power ventures.
- Digital & Telecom: High-speed internet now spans 6,355 service-ready Gram Panchayats.

- In the North East, the scheme comprehensively targets villages in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Sikkim.
- This acts in tandem with the critical Arunachal Frontier Highway project. Running parallel to the McMahon Line, it connects 12 remote districts of Arunachal Pradesh—some stretches passing within 20 km of the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
- Economic Corridors: The PM-DevINE scheme drives a ₹6,600 crore outlay, working with eight High-Level Task Forces.
- This forms the Northeast Economic Corridor to turn the region into a cross-border trade gateway with Southeast Asia.
